MEN 5249

For the farmhouse lover looking for some truly rustic inspiration, St. Martin Place, from award-winning designer Michael E. Nelson, is a spacious dream. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home plan boasts 1,897 sq.ft. of living space. From the dark wood siding to the charming craftsman elements, St. Martin Place is designed for mountains, prairies, lakeshores, and suburbs, with vaulted ceilings and plentiful storage space.

Farmhouse Rustic Aesthetic

Passing through a set of wood timber and stone columns framing the entryway, the St. Martin Place house plan begins with a formal foyer. Directly ahead, the Great Room awaits relaxation and family time, while an additional bedroom or office space lies to the left. An optional barn door entrance to this space accentuates the rustic farmhouse exterior style. Inside, front-facing windows soak up ample natural lighting with a calming view of the front property. Following the foyer into the Great Room, you are welcomed into this spacious area with tall vaulted ceilings and faux beam accents.

The Great Room showcases a large fireplace to gather around for game nights and cool rainy days. The grilling porch can be reached from the Great Room through large sliding glass doors for quick entry and exit while cooking, relaxing, or even just taking a breath of fresh air! To the right, the Kitchen showcases a large high-low bar island with seating for up to five. A well-sized pantry saves your cabinet space with ample storage for dry goods and kitchen supplies. From the Kitchen to the rear of the home is the formal Dining space. Large side- and rear-windows create a stunning backdrop to all your important celebrations together.

Towards the front of this country farmhouse floor plan from the Kitchen gives access to the Laundry Room, where a hidden pocket door leading into the walk-in Master Closet saves time during the seasonal wardrobe changes. A built-in bench with hanging space before entry to the 2-car garage makes returning home a breeze.

Split Bedroom Design

With a split bedroom focus, St. Martin Place fosters independence while placing a special value on the family gathering areas in the rest of the home. Entry to Bedrooms 3 and 4 is accessible from the front left doorway in the Great Room, where a brief hallway separates the two bedrooms. To the front of the house is Bedroom 3. This bedroom is only slightly smaller than the first bedroom/office at the foyer and has front-facing windows to capitalize on all the sunny days. With a healthy step-in closet, Bedroom 3 is perfect for children of all ages.

Following the hallway to the rear of the home takes you past the second full bath. This bathroom has two individual sinks and an enclosed toilet and tub space for additional privacy. At the very end of the hall are Bedroom 4 and a linen closet. Bedroom 4 is the smallest bedroom and has a deeper step-in closet. This room is ideal for smaller children, or even as a pet room. Rear-facing windows overlook the back property to give plenty of natural light.

Private Master Suite

The Master Suite is privately located in the right-wing of the St. Martin Place house plan. Entering through the dining area, you step into a private alcove that leads into the Master Bedroom. This alcove is great for a compact work desk or drop-off station for briefcases and other work supplies. The Master Suite features a generously large bedroom with vaulted ceilings and rear-facing windows.

As you head towards the front of the home, you pass a large linen closet to the Master Bath. This luxuriously spacious bathroom is designed for calm relaxation, with an enclosed glass shower and dedicated space for a free-standing tub. Between the his and her vanities is access to a spacious walk-in closet, where the convenient pocket door leads to the laundry room.
