Description

Plan Description

Award-winning designer Michael E. Nelson has created a new farmhouse home plan with crisp, rustic elements. Timberland Ridge II is a 1,998 sq.ft. farmhouse plan featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and one half-bath. This house plan is ideal for those on a narrow lot. The stark white-board siding and rich, dark wood garage doors and trim create a clean, inviting exterior. Timberland Ridge II is a modern take on the farmhouse style home. This open Great Room, kitchen, and dining room plan showcase vaulted ceilings in a truly open design. With excellent storage options and linen spaces sprinkled throughout the home, the Timberland Ridge II house plan is waiting for a family!

Through the Front Door

Stepping up to Timberland Ridge II, you will begin on the 15-foot covered porch. This cozy space is framed in dark, rustic wood and shake siding. This classic porch is designed for welcoming guests and long, comforting good-byes. Entering the front door, you begin in the foyer. To the left of the open foyer entrance is a mudroom designed for bookbags, briefcases, work boots and busy hands. Easily clean off and store your coats before relaxing into your day. To the right of the foyer is Bedroom 2. This room receives copious amounts of light through the front windows. A step-in closet gives plenty of storage space for this space as Bedroom 2 or as a Study. Continuing through the foyer, the laundry room can be found to the left. The laundry is designed to give “loads” of room to your laundry days. The rear of the room offers additional closet or storage space to help keep your chore day organized and efficient.

Lead-in Foyer

The foyer opens into the Great Room with entries for Bedroom 3, a Bathroom, and the Master Suite. As the foyer leads into, the bathroom entrance can be found on the right side of this plan. The full bath is comfortably nestled just outside the third Bedroom. Directly across from the bathroom is a linen closet, saving space in your bathroom while allowing easy storage and access to your linens and towels. Bedroom 3 receives natural lighting from the side window and contains a step-in closest for quick storage and clean-up. Opposite Bedroom 3 is the staircase leading to the bonus room and optional bathroom upstairs.

Great Room and Great Ceilings

Entering the Great Room from the foyer, the stairs are easily accessed just past the foyer and across from Bedroom 3 and the bathroom. The Great Room, kitchen, and dining area are centrally located in the Timberland Ridge II house plan. The vaulted ceilings are highlighted with dormers letting in additional natural lighting. As well as exposed faux beams –a farmhouse-style favorite accent. The Great Room opens onto the outdoor grilling porch at the rear of the home perfect for a set of French doors to take in the backyard view with an enormous window beside. The grilling porch offers more than enough room for your gas grill and meat smoker, and room yet for a quaint patio set to birdwatching in the early mornings. To the right of the house plan, the Great Room also includes a fireplace to whittle away those cool evenings comfortable and cozy. The Master Suite entrance lies just off the Great Room to the right of this house plan. The Master Suite is gloriously lit naturally with windows to the side and rear of the room. Quickly step onto the grilling porch from the Master Suite to soak in the sunshine .

Master Suite and Master Bath

The Master Suite is connected to the Master Bath for private, easy access to the free-standing tub and dual vanities. A large, enclosed toilet offers additional privacy leaving room for others to shower or bathe freely. Additional linen storage is nested next to the dual vanities making it easier than ever to keep organized and stocked on necessities. The Master Bath houses entry into the magnificently large walk-in closet and shelving.

Rooms That Flow

From the Great Room, you will flow smoothly into the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen features a free-standing island with bar-seating for four. A deep farm sink in this high-low island makes it easy to prep for dinner while keeping company with guests and loved ones. Beautifully light with transom windows from the side, this kitchen offers excellent counter space for the most elaborate chefs to the common bakers. To the rear of the home is the dining area. With vaulted ceiling continuing into this space, the dining area can be used as a formal dining room or a comfortable, casual breakfast nook.

Garage Pantry Access

Towards the front of this house plan, the kitchen showcases traditional barn doors opening into a large chef’s pantry. This space is wonderful for extra storage and counterspace. Better yet, the pantry includes an additional entry into the 2-car garage. Simply unload your grocery shopping directly into the pantry! The garage also leads into the mudroom and foyer, perfect for a shedding off the yardwork boots or heavy winter coats. An additional entry into the garage from the exterior side wall allows for swift movement to check on pets, kids, or summer projects.

Bonus Room Upstairs

Following the stairs in the Great Room, you will find the Bonus Room. Ready for a comfortable den, library, game room, or children’s play area, the Bonus Room has space ready for a half bath. Natural lighting will flood the room from the windows located at the front and left side of the room to emphasis the comfortable, cozy space
